About

Antara Mukherjee is a writer and an observer of human behavior. She writes literary fiction in a voice that is visual, humorous and lends an emotional depth.

She holds an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Calcutta and has spent a decade working as a communications professional. She admires the writings of Rabindranath Tagore, Gabriel García Márquez, Virginia Woolf, Fyodor Dostoevsky, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Carson McCullers, Rachel Cusk, and Toni Morrison, and hopes that her work bears the imprint of their voices.

She lives in Mumbai with her husband, son and parents. Currently, she’s working on her fourth novel. She’s a full-time writer and every morning, she sets out to gather ant-scaled slivers, hoping they’ll bring home the crumb.
